I hope you are all safe and well. It's been quite some time since my last update since we didn't really have much to update on. But we are now happy to announce that the Mizuchi Soundtrack is now available! You should have received an email from Backerkit ^_^ You will hear a lot of familiar songs, and new versions of those songs with additional instruments. The soundtrack has 15 unique songs with two bonus songs as gifts from Greg. Some may not know this, but the Mizuchi game itself has over 55 songs including their variations! Glim (Greg) would like to talk a bit about the project with you below. It is a touch long... our studio habit *coughs* ^.~
Hi Everyone, Glim here!
It has been a pleasure to work on this soundtrack and together with all the amazing talent in bringing this project to life. It warms my heart and inspires me to have heard such wonderful feedback especially as this is my first album and only the beginning of my journey as a musician. I have been working to make sure that all the songs on this soundtrack are memorable and nostalgic for those of you who have played Mizuchi while arranged to feel like an adventure to draw in those who are hearing the music for the first time. For those of you who have played the game, you will be hearing two new, never before shared tracks and updated versions of tracks that have yet to be patched into the game as of this message. We will let you know when the update occurs, and when it happens, let me know when you find the new tracks! I hope you enjoyed listening to the music as much as I have enjoyed expressing my thoughts and portraying feelings in sync with the emotional context of the production. While the music will also be available on most streaming platforms for your convenience, you will find that the mp3's and the HD (lossless) files will sound more like I had intended, with more bass, a clearer sound such as the emotional tone on the strings, a sound as if you were surrounded by instruments, and a strong sense of emotional intensity changes throughout the tracks.
I had meant to have all this ready for you sooner but things have not been quite normal lately as you are all aware and along the way, I had gotten painfully ill. I am okay now but I sincerely apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience. I would like to announce that I plan on creating a piano collection of a few of the songs on the soundtrack as well as releasing sheet music for those of you who are interested in playing along. Please follow and subscribe to my social and media platforms for announcements and updates as I continue to craft more music for you to listen to. I hope that many of you will join me on my journey as a musician and possibly even take part in shaping my sound. Even by simply listening to my music and sharing it with others, you would be contributing and helping to sustain my craft allowing me to resonate rather than fade to silence. In case you need it, I am GlimMusic, on Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, and YouTube. Thank you all very much for lending me your ears!
Sincerely,
Glim
We will also add the soundtrack for purchase on Steam and Bandcamp at some point. You may listen to the playlist here if you did not purchase the digital soundtrack: https://youtu.be/j7iEvELG8Xc
Additional News
I was advised by others to bring to light what's been going on with my life to explain the merchandise delays. You may skip this paragraph if you just want a breakdown of what's left for us to work on. So a lot of personal things occurred near the end of Mizuchi production schedule and it has built up to my working breakpoint. In early February I was diagnosed with Mild Depression (a step-up from my norm), and a few weeks later my uncle passed away from Stage 4 cancer. Just as the covid19 shutdown was just starting, I was not allowed to attend the funeral. Work on Mizuchi I did, as that's how I always handled myself. Mizuchi launched, and sales were overall "fine" (if I don't pay myself), but they are not enough to work quickly on the next game as the budget would run out fast. My grandmother passed away in April and another funeral I could not attend, the world was imploding, and my job offer no longer existed. It was my limit. More recent news we found out my spouse is also having a heavy salary cut. I was hoping a month of grieving would be enough to return to my workable state, but I realized it was much worse than that when I ran a depression screening on myself and it worsened to Moderate Depression. Therapy clinics are still closed, so I've been trying to do more self-care to get back into a routine. I will also go back to reviewing medicine so I can go back to job hunting at some point...
I want to sincerely apologize for all the delays in the merchandise goods. There are no financial concerns with the goods being made and the companies are still intact. I just need to find the energy to work on them bit by bit, which I'm slowly doing now. I am also considering doing a reorder and addition for the acrylic stands due to a small error (cm and inches) before, and I would also like to offer it to new fans to make a bigger order. Would anyone want an Adult Ai acrylic stand by chance? ^.~ I haven't been entirely useless, as I am working on the next game and heavy in research atm.
Mizuchi To-Do List:
Artbook, Prints, Stickers, Egg Recipe, Sketches
Chinese Version (Traditional and Simplified translations complete)
Update game music and sound fx with Glim's new versions and tweaks
Thank you again for your patience! Message me if you can't find your backerkit email.

P.S. Do let us know if you enjoy the songs! I love passing the good reviews over to Greg ^_^
