We're really close to the goal! Still some hours left. I'll be brainstorming ways to make up the difference... So don't fret too much. Be sure to sleep a bit!

I'm currently working on backerkit bundles and talking closely with the artists to discuss combining goods/weight to maximize the shipping cost. If you have any goods you'd like separated let me know (high interest ideal). Most of the Digital Goods will be available sans CG Wallpapers.

Physical Artbook is also available as an add-on for $40 plus separate shipping.

We have also decided to adjust our stretchgoal so we can prioritize the story and writing :D Love Scenes is our new goal! Extra writing and CGs will be added.

We're so fortunate to have such awesome supportive fans! I apologize for sounding like a broken record when I say "thank you!" but we mean it every time. Our lead artist Moonsta shared some rough sketch and colors to celebrate being so close! ^_^

Also if you haven't heard our latest soundtrack in our beta demo, here is a preview of "Betrayal" by Glim!

We also completed the hearth to replace the one in the beta. I really love the fish motif handle ^^

Backerkit 

After lots of discussion and getting input from you, we decided it was best to go with backerkit to distribute goods. Our apologies how it's not the ideal situation for some, but if we do reach our goal with over 200 backers, it becomes more difficult for us to manage everyone efficiently at this time. We have also accommodated the 2-3% funding cut with our budget since Day 1. It will not affect our current game funds! That's what my savings are for ^.~

We have noticed though that shipping costs is a pain on backerkit. I've had dev friends that had $5 shipping for each keychain you wanted cause of the poor setup. I was advised to stick to the bundles as before. If there's a specific physical bundle set you'd like put together, I'll consider setting it up. Still the shipping will be $10 (domestic) and $30 (international) as expected on each bundle. If you are an international backer, feel free to send me a message so we can discuss alternatives.

Updates

These next two days will definitely be full of nerves and excitement! Thank you to all those that increased their pledges to help us reach the initial hump! We're still getting steady work done, including 3 CG linearts being completed and passed over to our colorist. We also have a lovely completed kitchen to share tomorrow ^_^

Wow things are really going!

A reminder that the last $1k “Custom Order” tier is still open for a chance to help write a scene of your choice and get a cutscene to go with it! Our $500 “Writer’s Muse” is now 1/4 presently which means you can snag that chance to pitch scene ideas to the team and be part of the creative process to see it come to life in game!

CHARACTER SPOTLIGHT:

If you’ve played the Demo this is a familiar face: Jinhai’s pet chicken! She appears in sticker versions of Jinhai and even on our KS chart on our front page, but now you can get a better look at her!

The inspiration for Jinhai to have a pet chicken comes from the fact that our dev friend has real life pet chickens! It seemed too good to pass up, and it added to the story with her providing eggs so we can see some delicious dishes Jinhai can whip up!

The pet chicken (whose name will be revealed in game) is a made up breed to fit in the fantasy world of Mizuchi. She is heavily based on the real life chicken breed, Sebright bantam, but given some flair by our concept artist so she has an original yet mixed breed look. Given she’s from another land who knows what her origins are! Perhaps as mysterious as her owner…
